Kathmandu Metropolitan City has introduced digital Naksa Pass service. With an aim to modernize Metropolitan departmental service, the department is looking forward implementing the smart technology from Baisakh 2075 compulsorily; individual can opt for Online Naksa Pass voluntarily till then.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is currently busy feeding the digital information of all drawings, land, and owners. The Naksa Pass shall contain digital signature of the concerned officer.
This new system is believed to avoid the cases of bribes asked from the beneficiaries by the Metropolitan officers because via the Online Naksa Pass system, the beneficiary doesn’t come in direct contact to the officer. The department had introduced the ‘Mars’ system last year to make the services more effective.
However, due to the lack of effective implementation of the system, the department still fails to offer instantaneous service to the beneficiary.
You can register your user ID on the website of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (www.kmcebps.gov.np) to download a form for Naksa Pass, which, after you fill out, can be uploaded to the website. You are required to have digital copies (scanned copies) of all the documents required for processing a Naksa Pass.
Keep in mind that to entertain the online service, you must have a digital drawing.
